I wrote this essay in ig82 for Evelyn Torton Beck’s Nice Jewish Girls: A Lesbian Anthology. It was later reprinted in Fathers, an anthology edited by Ursula Owen for Virago Ltd., in London, and published in the United States by Pantheon.
